I am a teacher by profession and I know that in term-time our focus is always on those we teach and the needs of our school or college community - but in the Summer Holiday, we  are able to turn our attention to our own needs, our own health and happiness, so the timing for this particular programme is designed with teachers - and all those who work in education - in mind. Students at University are also welcome.

When DurgaMata retired from teaching (she was a specialist Religious Education and Art teacher for some 30 years) she was not ready to stop work. She became an entrepreneur. Strongly aware of the pressures and stresses which cause mental and physical ill health and drive so many great colleagues out of the profession, she set out to create workshops which would be effective in reducing stress and building resilience. 

DurgaMata has been practising meditation and mindfulness for over 40 years and has a wealth of experience in dealing with difficult situations. She views happiness as being like the sun. It is always shining. But all the clouds of stress build up and obscure it from sight. There are many strategies we can use - and over the past 5 years she has crafted a programme which is truly transformational. As we reduce the stress, the sun of happiness can shine more brightly in our lives.
The Seven Steps to Happiness is tried and tested - it works. And this is not just in the face to face workshops but now, online. The next run begins on July 23rd.

and continuing for Eight Weeks -

This programme has been tried and tested. It is truly transformational. You can take it at your own pace. With daily content and weekly group-zoom meetings, concluding with a one to one consultation with DurgaMata to take the learning forward.

The course includes Silk-Painting, Forest Bathing and Journaling. A personalised Journal, a Success-Gratitude Diary, a pen, a Silk-Painting Kit and more - will be mailed out to each participant.

The content is shared through a daily video in which an expert speaks about something related to that week's topic, Participants can engage with this according to their own individual time constraints and stress-profile. The Seven Steps to Happiness is like a buffet of practical strategies, wisdom and inspiration.

The only assignment which is required is a weekly review to share what has been of most value each week. This may include wins or 'aha-moments.'

We have weekly 90 minute Zoom Calls for the entire cohort, with small Break-out Groups working together on the strategies given each week. This will give maximum opportunity for discussion, sharing - and for learning from each other.

In weeks 8 and 9 the programme creator DurgaMata will give every student a one to one Coaching Call, to clarify what they  are finding most useful and plan how to take the learning forward in their lives, to continue surf the stress and create a peaceful home, full of love and laughter. 

NOTE - You do not have to spend hours on this. We recommend half an hour a day but some people just come to the Zoom Call. Busy people can listen to the videos through earphones while travelling or engaged in activities which are routine and seem to go faster when you are listening to something. 
Engagement is more about sparking ideas and our inner reflection - rather than scheduling 'study-time' each day.
This is a Gentle Programme. There is no pressure, no prize for completing exercises or getting the homework done by a particular deadline. It is your journey - and all the resources will be yours for life. The progress comes from a change in the way we think - and in this programme there will be maximum opportunity for thought and reflection.

Real change, real progress, real reduction in stress - is guaranteed if you follow this programme - but do so at your own speed. 
The 'content' parts of the weekly Zoom calls are recorded, but not the personal contributions as we create a Safe Space for peer to peer support. We hope you will be able to attend the zoom live, and gain by sharing and learning from each other. This is time you need to ring-fence and prioritise for your own Health, Wellbeing and Empowerment. 

DurgaMata will be personally supporting every student - which is why numbers are limited. There is a choice of daily content - since each person has unique interests and needs - and you have access to the resources for life, so never feel under pressure. This is a gentle programme.

This is a serious opportunity for deep  transformation and that can only come with engagement and commitment. We are keeping the costs as low as possible, on this special post covid19 run, so as not to add more stress - normal price will be £795.00 but this

About DurgaMata

By profession DurgaMata is an artist and teacher but the most important element in her life is SPIRITUAL ASPIRATION. She believes that if we really want to make a positive difference in the world, we have to begin with our own lives and look within and she has been practising meditation for over 40 years. 

When we take action to raise our own consciousness, this ripples out into the wider world in a natural way and the change is enduring. This is how The Seven Steps to Happiness Works. Our consciousness is influenced by everything we do - everyone we meet influences us. In this Programme we mix with some of the most inspiring people I can find. We can't always avoid stress. So often it comes from external factors, the world outside, but these people share their insights in to how to handle the outside world in a more powerful way. They teach us how to surf stress.
I am always looking for more inspiring people, so do share your own favourites. 

When we raise consciousness everything changes.
This philosophy is not new. Over 2,000 years ago in China, Lao-tse expressed it eloquently.

As is true in all aspects of life, the important things are not new. They are timeless. But it is not enough just to know about them. What is needed is action, to embed these truths in our lives.
Through her unique, very practical but also inspirational Seven Steps to Happiness Programme Durga Mata enables her students to see their own lives with more clarity and their unique sources of stress with a better perspective, giving clarity and empowerment.

As students, each individual is in the driving seat, able to choose and take the steps that they can see will help them - but always supported by others in the cohort and guided by the programme and its creator. In this way they experience the results they long for -
